Switch Bodhi to Russian Version

In order to switch to Bodhi Russian version you need to install several packages from Synaptic Package Manager.

the packages are listed below:

1. language-support-writing-ru
2. language-support-ru
3. language-pack-ru
4, language-pack-ru-base
5. language-pack-gnome-ru
6. myspell-ru
7. console-cyrillic
8. xfonts-cronyx-isocyr-misc KOI8R
9. xfonts-cronyx-misc ISO8859-5
10. xfonts-cronyx-misc Unicode Cyrillic
11. konwert

All these packages you can easy find in Synaptic Package Manager just typing russian in the search box.

After all packages are downloaded and installed you go to Main Menu - Setting - All - Language - Language Setting and choose Russian written in cyrilic then you look for locale if it starts with ru and you in Russia it's fine click Apply, if you are in Ukraine then go to Advanced click on Russian written in cyrilic than click Ukraine, if you in Russia and want to make sure the proper locale is chosen go to Advanced click on Russian written in cyrilic and next click on Russian Federation than Apply. Close everything and reboot the computer.

When computer start Bodhi OS will run in Russian language.

To switch back you just go back language setting and click on the language of your choice you previously installed.

That is general procedure to switch to Russian language.

Next will be to choose proper keyboard, if the Russian was not choice during Bodhi installation process.
